New York native soprano Stefanie Izzo has been hailed as possessing a “flawless soprano” and a “gorgeously rich and full sound” for her work in opera and musical theatre. Her perfomance as Maria in West Side Story with St. Petersburg Opera was deemed "ideal in every way," and garnered her a Theatre Tampa Bay Award nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Musical.

Stefanie made her off-Broadway debut in 2012 as Monica in Menotti’s The Medium, opposite Varla Jean Merman. Other roles include her international operatic debut as Adina in L’Elisir d’Amore with Musica Viva Hong Kong, Monica with St. Petersburg Opera (FL) and world premieres of Bruce Saylor’s My Kinsman, Major Molineux & The Image Maker. She has sung Mozart's heroines Pamina, Susanna, Despina, and Mlle. Silberklang, as well as Postcard from Morocco (Lady with a Hand Mirror), Candide (Cunegonde), Sweeney Todd (Johanna), and HMS Pinafore (Josephine). Stefanie has performed with companies such as Light Opera of New York, Bel Cantanti Opera, Dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, and the Gilbert & Sullivan Light Opera Company of Long Island. Her recent concert appearances include the title role in Debussy’s La Damoiselle Élue, and soprano soloist in Handel’s Judas Maccabaeus with the Queens College Choral Society.

Stefanie has studied languages and performed recitals in Italy, Germany and Austria, and was chosen as the first-ever recipient of the National Italian American Foundation’s Andrea Bocelli Music Scholarship. She holds a B.M. from NYU and both an M.A. and Advanced Performance Certificate from CUNY Queens College. In addition to performing, Stefanie works as a program manager in the Metropolitan Opera Guild's Education Department.
