She was born in Istanbul then started her music studies at the Mimar Sinan University State Conservatory with Tülay Örser and Ahmet Ermakastar. With the scolarship of British government she took part in Alberdeen Music Festival. In 1985, with a state scolarship from France she was accepted to Nantes Conservatory and finished it with first prize. There, she studied with Mehmet Ermakastar, Alain Boeglin, Guy Dangain and Guy Deplus. The same year she won the first prize at Leopol Bellan competition at Paris. She did the Turkish premiere of A.Copland, G.Finzi and C.V.Stanford clarinet concertos. In 2001 she was invited to a seminar by the Mediterrenean Clarinet Society. In 2010 she recorded her first CD with the flutist Sibel Kumru Pensel, the conductor Naci Özgüç and the Mersin Chamber Orchestra. The same year she played at a program called ''Turkish season in France''. Also she recorded two CDs of chamber music named Nice'tanbul and Trio Giocoso. In 2018 she recorded Mozart's chamber music pieces with Ensemble Mendelsshon at Belgium.In 2014 she won the first prize of Year's best wind instrument performer at Donizetti Classical Music Awards organised by Andante classical music magazine. She performed in many countries such as France, Russia, Switzerland, Belgium, Ecuador, China also throughout Turkey, her native land. She has been a member of the Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra as principal clarinetist. Currently she continues her career as soloist and chamber music performer.
