ABOUT THE WORK:

Gamsız moved to New York after his wife Ege Maltepe's had the chance to study acting with director Mike Nichols in Manhattan as a Fulbright scholar at the New Actors Workshop. A school that carried improvisational tradition of Viola Spolin through her son Paul Sills. The piece is based on the theme built on the three letters of his wife's name; E-G-E. Since Maltepe loves Chopin's Nocturnes, Gamsız composed a nocturne in a very Chopinesque style for her.
