ABOUT THE ALBUM:

When three of the works of Johann Sebastian Bach that deserves to be considered unique are together in a recital program, the audience gets the opportunity to experience the wide range of compositional talents of the best composer in history. For centuries French Overture, Italian Concerto, and Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue have always been favorites of listeners as well as theorists. In the French Overture, which is the largest example of the Dance Suite form, Bach adds the Overture as a magnificent introductory dance and for the finale he adds the fantastically vibrant Echo dance after the Gihue. In the Italian Concerto, he used the keyboard as both a soloist and an accompanying orchestra, which is an innovation that no other composer could dare. In the last work of the recital program, the listeners can hear a level of keyboard virtuosity he created far ahead of his time. Franz Liszt, the greatest piano virtuoso in history, added difficult chords and octaves while transcribing many of Bach's works to the piano, but he decided that Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue is difficult enough and he played the piece with the original version written by Bach without any additional virtuosity.Emir Gamsız says that this recital program is his favorite.
